Yep every time My C5 see's a new Rustang it seems to surge...
What could the problem be????
Damn, the 'stang must be "in season",
Only thing you can do at that point is smile and nod at the other driver, downshift in to second, run the rpms up to 4500 and dump it!
Let them catch up to you just a bit around 90mph, then do the same thing with third! Kind of hard for those Mustangs to rust with a fresh coat of rubber on it
The only Disgustangs I've ever seen handle a Vette were ones with a serious amount of $$$$ put into them. Put the same $$$$ in the Vette, and we are not talking right now.
you havent been looking hard. I had a 92 vert (3500#) that went 13.5 w/ exhaust and 11.7@120 w/ just a s trim blower. My vette isnt in the 11s yet and stock my best in the c5 vert was 13.1
mine is just one example. Mine was far from the fastest and wasnt an exception by any means. Its not a c5 but from stoplight to stoplight, it would give any mildly modded c5 a run for its money for under 5k including car.

It could only be one thing...PHEROMONES!
At all costs, discourage your C5 from trying to mount the Rustang...It could be a dangerous liability for both you and the occupants of the Rustang (and probably not covered by your insurance policy), and the spawn of such a union would never be accepted into either faction of our sophistcated automotive society!
If you cannot control your C5, then at least use protection, perhaps an old deflated air bag!
