Default Need some help fixing some small problems.

Ok so I have had my vette about 2 months and it has had more problems than I expected. I still love it though and am looking for some help to get them all fixed.

My first is the windows. They roll up and down like they are supposed to but ar very clunky. The kinda creak when you open the doors. the drivers one when it is all the way rolled up drops like an inch when you press the down button then rolls the rest of the way down normally. It is extremely clunky while doing this not smooth at all. I also have a good amount of scratches on the outside of my window. I am figuring the regulator is shot and needs to be replaced. Anyone know how to do this and roughly how much it cost?

Next is my suspension creaks when going over speed bumps or uneven pavement. It is not squeeking it creaks. I also kind of does sitting still when I turn the wheel.

Both of my seats have the rocking problem but I can search to figure that one out.

My passenger side mirror has the broken spring problem but i am just gonna screw it together since it seems they all do this eventually.

It had the bad oil pressure sending unit problem but I have already fixed that.

My brake pedal make a very annoying squeak everytime I let off the brakes. Can I just get up under there and hit with some WD-40?

Not any big problems thankfully but a lot of little annoying ones. Give me all the info you can on how to get them fixed.

Thanks,
Shawn

Well, I can say go ahead and hit the brake pedal assembly with some lube if it is squeaking... I wouldn't use WD-40 though, use a real spray lube/penetrating oil. Sorry to hear about your drivers window. I would say it sure sounds like you need to replace the regulator which looks challenging to change, and also challenging to re align the window glass after replacing... good luck man. I'm sure you'll get your car into the condition you'd like it to be in soon!

My driver's side window failed intermittently and the dealership replaced the window regulator under warranty. I think the parts for it were about $180. The way yours work is definitely not normal.

The warrantly on my car expires in three weeks and I just had over $1000 in warranty repairs done last month! I am wondering if I shouldn't just get an extended warranty?

Someone posted a fix for the rocking seat problem. It involved installing some small spacers you would have to manufacture to remove the excess tolerance of the pieces moving the seat. I just found the link to the description of the fix:

http://js-x.com/robbs/ken/vette1/

If this is too involved, someone suggested putting a piece of wood behind the seat back...

Anyway, good luck with your repairs. I know how irritating these little things can be.

The suspension creaking could be from poly bushings. Did the previous owner install them? Poly creaks, no way around it.
