Well I just talked to a friend of mine who has setup a business account with AFR. He told me that the 205 heads are in such high demand that there is a 8-10 week waiting period for them, possibly longer. So I need to know what would be another good set of heads to run if I cant get them in time. My setup will go as follow
Stock short block
Magik stick cam 237/242 .603/609 113 lsa
150 d/p nitrous setup
3.42 gear and built tranny and yank 3500-4000 stall.
Wanna run low to mid 10's on that setup before stepping up the jets..
Should I just go with a cartek set or maybe a ported set of ls6 heads. Not to sure since I heard that the AFR heads a a really good flowing head...
If you are going to spray I'd seriously consider waiting for the AFR's. They are much beefier than the stock castings and were designed for the guy that wants to spray or go FI. That car is gonna have some numbers with that cam and 150 spray. Are you planning on beefing up the pistons? I know TTP has 10 sets sitting around waiting for somebody to buy them.
Plan on staying with the stock short block for now. If things go ok, then I will go with a 408 iron block with a good set of pistons, but for now she has to stay stock..
