I've been thinking about installing West Coast Corvettes cold air screens but someone indicated that I could get the same effect but simply drilling out the stock screens. Has anyone done this and if so where did you drill? Did is seem to help?
You can remove the fog light surrounds, (you would have to do that anyway to install the west coast ones )
I used a dremil tool to route out the plasic, and then I epoxyed a screen on the back and painted them satin black. Here is a picture, and yes it will help, and even more if you have a heat extracting hood. You can suck in a large volumn of cold air but it need somewhere to go.The heat extracting hood take hot air out of the engine bay as cold air is refilling the engine bay.
