Default foam

As I was installing my new radiator screen . I notices that the foam pieces beside the radiator (between the plastic and condenser) were pretty shot. They are falling off and look nasty. I am just sure a show judge will look up in there and deduct points causing to NOT to get the 2 dollar trophy I paid 15 dollars to get.....(lol)

Do you think I can get buy without these little strips. I did make up some new ones and stick em in place. I blew out the cores, replaced some screws that musta wanted to be somewhere else and got the screen installed. Its real simple and I used two well nuts to fasten it up. Very easy to remove and looks good. Lots better than the one from
M/A... Its really amazing how a 15 minute job can turn into a 3 hour adjust, fix and repair and polish session....

I mistakenly threw my foam strips away, but replaced it with rubber bulb weatherstrip. Reinstalling weatherstrip dropped coolant temps a few degrees during city driving. I suspect it cooled down because it forced air to go thru the radiator instead of flowing around it.
