I have a 98 a4 and have changed my stock re/315 to a 342. along with this i changed the tc to a vigilante 2800-3000 and my tranny to an 03 tranny(swap out). I have found that my hypertech does not have parameters for the 342 on the auto. What is recommended for the software changes for the diff change and the tc. I have been told that my pcm(stock 98) may or may not have torque management software that will change fuel/timing parameters to adjust for the torque differences-ie detune my 98 under load.
Question does my 98 have torque management or is that for later year models and what is recommended for the software updates-to remove the pcm and send off to reprogram or hand held programmers. If you send off pcm who does a good job with this....thanks in advance
I am planning to have parts in this weekend. I am not sure I understand what hardware I would need to load the edit file. Advise me on whats avail and how it works....thanks kevin
