I installed them on my own.
You're right, the photocopied instructions are terrible. But they're not as bad as the headlights which are asymmetrical and look used when you first pull them out of the box.
Still, these things look great from a few feet away once they're painted. I learned to live with the fact that they are flawed when viewed up close since nobody else seems to notice the flaws. I get compliments on them all the time.
