Default Removing Wheels

This is a dumb question, but for those folks that have the 5 spoke aluminum wheels with the plastic lug nut covers, how do you remove the wheels from the car? Does the plastic center cap have to be removed to get the caps off?

Thanks in advance.

The center cap does not need to be removed. Just unscrew the plastic lugnut covers and then unscrew the lugnuts. The wheels will come off without having to take off the center cap.

You do not have to remove the center cap to remove the wheel but it would not hurt if you did it either.

The lug covers can be removed with the same tool that you will use on the wheel lugs. The tool ( I use a cross bar sometimes or a ratchet with extension other times) should fit in the opening for each lug nut and allow you to break loose the nut and remove.

If you need additional input feel free to pm/im me.
