Default Hypertect power programmer questions

On my 98 what should I put the auto trans shift firmness at, 25%,50% or 100%, also should I change my shift points, if so to what?

Unless you've changed your rear end (to a different ratio), it doesn't make much sense to change shift points.

I have a 98 also. I set my shift firmness to 50%. I like the firm yet not harsh shifts. I think you mean do you change your mph for each gear shift?

I had mine set at 75% but I think this was too high as I kept getting and intermittent idle stumble that went away if I took it out of gear. I'm running plus 2mph 1-2,plus 4 mph 2-3 and plus 1mph 3-4 since I seldom get to 150mph in third. Lowered line pressure to 25%. With t-sat, programing, airbox and exhaust , I lowered my 1/4 mile time from 13.9 in bad air and heat soaked engine, to 13.1 in better, but not good air, much cooler engine .Trap speed went from 102.5 to 106.8.I bought mine used for $200, I'm very happy with it!

I ran my 2000 A4 at 100% shift firmness with +3, +6, +0 for the
shift points and was running 13.01 @ 107 mph with the 160 degree
thermostat. I found that the shift points made a huge difference in ET

I toggle my 98 between 75 and 100%; 75% for normal use and 100% for Autox and 1/4 mile. +3, +3, +1. No problems w/65K, the last 10K using the PPIII.

This setup works good, dose anyone think it would be better to put in a shift kit instead of changing the shift firness?
