Default Best hood seal?

I want to keep the engine cleaner, so I'm going to get a hood seal. Which ones are the best, which are the worst, where can they be bought, quantos dinero, etc. All field proven knowledge would be appreciated.

Go to http://www.mcmaster.com/

and look for 'Foam Rubber Bulb Seal' part number -93085K88 - it's 47 cents per foot and you will need roughly 40 inches and it's sold by the foot. Order 4 feet and cut to fit and you will have a hood seal for $1.88 plus shipping.

This is what I did, except I ordered 10 feet and gave hood seals away to many on this forum. Total cost for me for 10 feet with shipping was $9.

I can post some pictures if you want.

This isn't rocket science. It a freekin piece of weather strip. Home depot, get a piece of weather striping that will seal the front of the hood. Do you think hours and days of engineering went into this ???
Sorry. It's a 5 dollar mod. A piece of D channel rubber. Black would be nice..

Have any of you ever seal up your rear trunk area on your Z06's? It gets pretty dirty in the channel around the opening.

Why would you do that? The channels' where water runs out of the car.

It would seal up the channel and prevent water and dirt from getting in/keep the channel clean. That is why we seal up the front hood, right?

I used a piece of the stock hood side seal on the front, looks good, works good but costs more!

The front of the car is sealed up to permet proper airflow. If you seal up the rear, the water has nowhere to go.

The cheap stuff you can buy at any Home Depot etc. I did two cars for $9, and the adhesive is much better.
