LS6 Intake Manifold Swap
I have a 2000 coupe with basic bolt ons: blackwing, dynatech long tubes, cat back exhaust. Anyone swapped their LS1 manifold for an LS6? Are there any performance gains and how difficult is the install? It doesnt seem to be too bad of an installation from LS1howto.com. Any tips for installation? Thanks

Upon insatalling the LS6 intake, be sure to cut the clips off the knock sensor wiring harness under the intake. The LS6 intake will not seat properly until those clips are gone. Be sure you disconnect the vac. line and elec. plug from behind the LS1 intake before trying to remove the intake. It's tight, but you can get your hand back there. Check it out on the LS 6 intake so you know what to feel for.

For a mere 5 horses at the wheels it hardly seems worth the 400 bucks to upgrade if you are sticking with just bolt on mods. Anyone have any suprisingly good results to speak of?

You are 100% correct. Are you planning H/C ever. If so, it's worth. If not, save your money IMO.
