I have a 1999 Corvette FRC that came with manual base seats (non-power). I would like to upgrade to dual (driver and passenger) power sport seats but wanted to know what kind of issues, such as power connecters, installation issues, etc. that I should know about before I decide to purchase the seats.
I can't answer the power interface question for you (I personally like my manual seats), but I did upgrade the seat backs to sport seats so I could run my shoulder harness through the headrest cutouts.
Why GM wouldn't allow sports seats in their "sports" model is logic I don't think I'll ever understand!
Mine has broken twice where the automated part attach's near the drivers door and I am not that heavy to have broken it--you may want to see if there is some kind of after market seat--I like some of them but the better ones cost about as much as the car--
I am 6'3 and find the slots in the sport seats too low for the 5 point shoulder belts. My shoulders are well above the slots. Have to bring the belts around the headreast.
