Is an alignment necessary?
Swapping existing tires with 5000 miles on them onto new wheels. These are the stock tires on stock rims swapping to the same size new rims. Is a front and rear end alignment necessary to or not? The place I am swapping the tires at strongly recommended I do the alignment. Thanks for your input.

Nope. Sounds like they are trying to screw you. Take it somewhere else and tell them to stick it up, well you know. (Assuming your alignment is fine now.)

not necessary to align just because you are switching wheels. but when is the last time you had one done? just did one on a Z06 today with 16k on the clock. camber on left side was way out of specs front and rear.
