Default MTI X1 cam anyone?

Just wondering if any of you are running this cam and how you like it? I just ordered the cam kit from MTI and hope to install it this coming week.

I had one in my 02 Z and loved it. Pulled real hard up top and has a nice chop to it. Mine was untuned, so it hated cold starts. Once they're tuned though it clears up.

Did you run the car hard untuned? And if so did you have any issues?

Here's mine, just got it back today.

Sounds good . Don't run it hard until it has been tuned.

Sounds nice! I ran mine decently hard untuned without issue. It wasn't a daily driver or track car, but when I did drive it I flogged it pretty good.

its worth the money for the tune and alot safer when i got my car tuned with the cam i actually had to get bigger injectors because the car ran lean past 6k wich isnt safe plus u could probably bump up ur rev limiter for more power, mine is now at 6900 rpm.

Awesome! Been wanting to get this cam... Did you have to fly cut or anything? Or do you have different heads? Thanks and congrats on a sweet setup

I've got the X1, no fly cutting even with my 5.3L stage 2.5 TSP heads. 11.2:1 SCR.

Idle vid below.

No flycutting, you can actually go quite a bit larger than the X1 without flycutting.

1 3/4 is plenty for a heads/cam car.

You dont need 1 7/8 unless youre running 550+rwhp which are most of your larger cube and FI cars.

I'm still running 1 3/4 headers and they seem to be doing just fine.

Thats not a X1 cam. It was a custom grind in a 408.
