Thanks everyone for your generous remarks.
I'm heading back out to Capitol to see if they can get the track dried out enough to make some passes. DA looks like 600-800 feet.
I'll try to answer the questions that have been asked this evening when I get back.

Thanks JRod and the other members of the Z06 family for your generous remarks.
I don't have a line-lock, so my technique reflects that.
Back into the waterbox, if possible, and immediately spin the tires JUST enough to get a full rotation of them, but NOT enough to thrown much water up into the wheel wells. Roll forward out of the water. Make sure you're in COMPETITION DRIVING mode. Put the 6-speed in 2d gear. Drop the clutch and feed the throttle and quickly lightly apply the brakes with your left foot. Bring the revs to about 5000 until the tires smoke and start to grab. Release the brake and you'll roar forward. The tires are heated. I don't count seconds but just spin them until they grab hard.
When the track surface is cool or cold (under 70 degree surface temp), I try to heat them a little less by reducing the amount of smoke I make during the burnout.

Three weeks ago (three track sessions) I mounted a pair of drag radials newly released in 275.40.17 by Mickey Thompson...on an extra set of 9.5 inch Z06 front wheels.
I am still experimenting on (1) tire pressure (using 21-22 psi so far) (2) burnout technique and (3) launch rpm 4600 on cold track; 5000-5200 on warm track...so far.
When I seem to get things right, the tires make mid-to-low 1.6X 60'. And I suspect that with some practice, they can produce occasional 1.5X at my near stock rwhp (363) level.
Hope that answers your question.
