HOPEFULLY I CAN AFFORD ONE IN A YEAR OR SO congrats to all you c6 owners out there that is one heck of a car!!!!
I was a DIE HARD C5 50th Owner, till I drove the C6. It was over after that. Could not get used to my C5 again. Oddest damn thing. I can't describe the difference if I wanted to.
Over the 45 years I have been driving I have owned 4 Porsches, 3 BMW M3's, amny other sprty cars and most recently a Honda S2000. As a college senior I wanted a mid-sixties vette but far out of my reach. Never really got excited about the C3-C5, but the first time I saw a picture of the C6 "WOW" . Then I got to drive one on an autocrosse style course. As the post above says I was sold before the drive was over and witin a week of that the order was placed. Only two more weeks until we (my wife is part of this expierence) pick it up at the museum. Jack
Remember: It is want not need and rationalize rather than objectively decide ... and as we get older and the kids are grown and on their own some wild rationalization is good for the soul. Take care all
Will be picking her up in a few weeks from GA dealer and driving home to the beach...NW FL...beautiful in the Florida Panhandle!
And yes my wife will be pat of the experience.
I guess I am a risk taker! I have not driven a C6...have not seen Victory Red in person on the vette...
No risk...no gain...

Lars, We have a mag red vert on order and haven't driven one either. Have only seen a LMB coupe in the showroom. With the Vette's rep, I guess we feel pretty secure.

Yes
I have not even been to a chevy dealer since the C6 came out.
I am buying from a forum dealer out of state...my first C6 ride will be this Feb, when I drive my
VR/BLK/BLK/1SB/Z51/MN6/Xm/NAV/ONSTAR/POL
vert home.
If you can afford a C6, you have spent the money before the test drive is over
The salesman told me that if I drove it, I would buy it. At the time, I thought it was a pretty good soft pitch. It wasn't a pitch, he was only telling the truth.

I didn't even drive, I just saw it and that was that.
I saw it in a magazine almost exactly a year ago, and sitting in the Carls Jr. in the Ontario CA airport, I knew I was done. I am so glad I got on the bandwagon early and was able to order Precision Red.
