I took out the GEICO plan in addition to the 36/36 that comes with the vette. GEICO charges $250 deductable per instance. The major reason I got it is for the clutch/throwout bearing coverage that is not part of GMAC.

I'm just about to add it to the coverage on my new C6.
It seems better than GMPP in almost every way. It is MUCH cheaper (about $100 per year, no initial outlay), it conveys to a new buyer if that buyer has GEICO insurance, it enables you to go to any repair shop, and it covers more parts (including, for example, the F55 suspension).
Ken Fichtner, or others, am I missing something here? Please let me know before I make up my mind. The only "downside" I can see is that one must remain a GEICO policyholder -- but that company has wonderful service and rock-bottom rates.
