Default Very Frustrated

Is it just me or are there any other soon to be C6 buyers frustrated out there too? I was planning on ordering a 1SX/Z51 coupe sometime around April for a spring delivery. First the 1SX package goes on constraint at least until April, but that could be longer or possibly never come back at all! Now we learn from Dave at Kerbeck that something could possibly be up with the Z51 package, which is already currently on partial constraint! I know that April is still a couple months away so I am trying to be optimistic that this will all resolve itself by then but it is just so frustrating to know that I may have to make a decision as to what I want to do come April and it may not be the decision I really want. And as far as trying to locate a 1SX at all at this point is very difficult. Just wanted to see how everyone felt about this.

If you want a spring delivery you should be placing your order soon. In a normal year they will start taking order for the next model year in April.

Just go buy a car and enjoy it.

Some people make too big of a deal of it.

There are plenty cars out there...

Find it...buy it...drive it...

exactly if you are not too picking i am sure you will get a 1sb with z51 on the lot which will be around the same price as the car you put on order..i am sure you would be paying msrp..search and find a dealer with 5-6k discount and you might be sitting in a 1sb and nav for the same price..

Orders may close out in a month or 2. My recommendation is to figure out what you REALLY want and do searches on GM Buy Power then go get it now. Short of that, you’ll be getting an 06 in Oct or setteling for something you really don’t like all that much i.e. getting a MagRed with Cas interior when you really wanted Black.

Not making a big deal of it. I am not in the market at this time to buy a C6. I live in NY and we just got 2 feet of snow last week. The car will not be a daily driver and will not be driven in the winter, otherwise I would be buying right now!

I have the 1SX/Z51 6sp and had no problems ordering it. Of course that was back in Dec 2004. Delivery was on Dec 18th. No problems. I don't know why they would put a constraint on it, unless they found out it the hot ticket for performance. Reason is mine weighed in at 3123lbs. And the 1SX doesn't cost anything extra. My guess is it's all about money! Forcing you to order the 1SA or 1SB interiors. $$$$ Dealers don't want you to even know the 1SX exists. Unless you know berfore hand they don't even tell you it's an option. Good luck

the cost between the option packages?

i *think* the 1SA is around $1200 and the 1SB is, approximately, $4300.

but don't quote me.

Default 1SX package

This is the base interior package: The seats are basic no lumbar adjustment. I'm 210lbs and don't fit well in the quote: sport bucket seats. The stereo is the base unit with the CD. It sounds good to me.
The color interior I got was ebony, and the rest of the trim is the same as the others. So: I don't have duel power seats, only driver is power. So what, I don't have dual heated seats or side air bags.If I get hit there I'm dead anyway. I don't have heads up display HUD, I don't want it. I don't need all of these things, they don't make me any faster, and my reason for buying vettes is performance. I've had six vette starting with a 67 427 tripower. I have an idea about these cars.
The 1SX is great looking interior. And you save alot of weight. Also there is a lot less that can go wrong with your car. If you want all of those gadgets, get em. If you want a street racer don't. Still my A/C is the same as in all of the C6's. Yes it's true I modify my cars. Soon I will be making over 400RWHP thats 476 at the crank, and it's as drivable as a stone stocker. And by the way I still get 27-29mpg.

The 1SX is the base coupe

convenience net
• Side-impact air bags for driver
and passenger
• 6-way power passenger seat
• Sport bucket seats with perforated
leather seating surfaces and power
lumbar and wing adjustment

The comes 1SB that gets every thing 1SA has plus

• Auto-dimming inside and driverside
outside rearview mirrors
• Head-Up Display (HUD)
• Heated driver and passenger seats
• HomeLink® transmitter
• Inside rearview mirror with
compass
• Memory package with two driver
settings
• Power telescopic steering column
with manual tilt
• RDS AM/FM stereo with 6-disc
in-dash CD changer, MP3
playback and Bose® premium
7-speaker system

Absolutely frustrated. This has been such an unpleasant experience just to even get what we want. I would have bought a convertible anywhere yesterday that had what I want. Mine came in w/o NAV. Kerbeck's has none available until maybe May. Search turns up nothing. They are not out there. It's no wonder so many of us are upset. We waited all this time, put down money, inconvenienced, some are still waiting, and mine doesn't have NAV. It's in my garage since last night, and I really like it, but I ordered NAV.

I'm delighted for the members who got what they wanted and what they ordered.

I don't blame you for what you're feeling. You're entitled.
