Default C6 Jacking Pads

Yeah, I know. We've done this before but I've "lost" the URL for the vendor and can't find on the CF or via goggle. I think it was Elite Engineering, maybe? Some help, please? :o

Thanks, Nomad. Now, does anyone remember the clearance from the pads installed to the ground surface? I want to remember 4.25", but I'm not sure of that.

Good question. There are four "slots" on the underside of the C6 ; two behind the front wheels and two in front of the rear wheels. These are to accept jacking pads which provide lift points for the car. The jacking pads are made of aluminum (or steel, depending on the manufacturer) and part of it is designed to slip into the slot and lock in with a quarter turn. At least I think that's correct. Lifting a C5 or C6 without using these pads is a potentially damaging proceedure, I'm told. That's why I want to order some from Elite Engineering.

Default Jacking Pads

I thinkl you would be happier with the BMW pads you can put them in and leave them in they are made out of some kind of plastic and cost about 6 to 8 bucks each depending where you are located I have lost the part number I think someone will be able to help due a search on C-5 form the part number is the same for C-6

I got my EE jacking pads a few months ago. No probs with clearance. I don't know the exact numbers, but they are only about 1/2 inch lower than the rails when installed. They are a nice product too.
