Default To Slow?

Is it posable for my C6 Z51 to be getting slower after 1500 miles or is it just me? I had the crank pulley come loose at 1200 miles and ever sence i got the car back it seems to be getting slower every day. Its still fast but just does not seem to pull as hard. Could there be somthing else wrong?

Makes me wonder where the ignition timing sensor is and if your timing could be off some how.

One of the resident engine experts should know?

Wish you had a Gtech to test it.

On my first C6, the crank pulley came loose twice. The second time it failed, they replaced the engine. It ran OK until GM bought it back but it did not seem to have the power of my new C6 and the cars were identical.

Without some kind of baseline from before the repair, your best bet is to have it dyno'd and compare those numbers to some that have been posted here.

Having been a motorcycle mechanic and enthusiast, I have always bought very fast bikes, very fast and when you are paying attention and using them all the time, you start to feel that the thing doesn't seem to perform as well as it used to. But I have found that it is just me. Using base line dyno # of 171 to the rear wheel, I felt that my ZX12 was getting slower, when in fact it had actually gone up to 175 and gained some torque at all RPMs. That was after about 5000 miles. It was just me.
Just go drive something else for a week and then get into the C6, you will be surprised as to how much faster it feels.

I agree, even after several mods, my Viper is getting so slow I may have to put a paxton on it. Dyno is the only real answer...

My ZO6 used to seem down right nasty...well...it is...but like anything else you get used to it. It throws you sideways around a few corners...face a semi at 90 degrees when you're merging...you learn to handle it. Now it's a ***** cat & the C6 slightly boring.

Could not agree more. My Busa seemed fast at first...

Ted's advice is good, but don't go drive a bike, then the car will feel even slower
