Few jacks will fit under the C6. The low profile racing jacks may. I have to drive onto 2 2x10's (2 under each wheel) first to be able to slide my jack under. If you're going to use jack stands, be sure to jack it up at the lifting points (see manual) and then slide the stands under your jack pads.

Can someone measure the clearance at the front and rear jacking points so I can see if my jack will fit?

Thanks.

I use Griot's heavy duty jacks. Excellent quality. They fit fine. They are, howeve, big, heavy and expensive. I have two and jack up both sides of the rear or front at once for better access to what I am working on.

Or you can buy the BMW 3 series jacking pads, either the round or rectangular ones will fit just fine. About $20 for all four.

I got a low profile jack from tooltopia.com. Works really well. I think it was about $180. Best price I could find for a low profile (I believe 3" minimum height) jack. Smitty

Just bought my jacking pads from Elite -- color coordinated!

Jeff at Elite sais that, for the money, you simply cannot beat the Sears Craftsman jack discussed above. It is on sale, $20 off, only through tomorrow (Feb. 12)! At least that is what the online listing says. I just bought one online for pickup at my local Sears store.

Curious.....

Could/Will the jack stands easily slip off the jack pads??

Thanks!
