VIN decoding

Any help on decoding the VIN number to tell WHEN a certain vehicle was produced ? I am looking at various C6's in dealer stock ..and it would be nice to know WHEN a given car was made.

Nope. The VIN won't tell you. It will tell you what year and what plant. It will also tell you the relative order of when your car was made.

The last 5 digits here in the sequence for the model year it was built.

Just check one of the drivers door stickers. It will list the month and year(12/04 or similar date) that the car was built.
