The TPW will be assigned when your order status reaches 3000, that would be after the plant has acecpted it and it has been added to production orders.
My order stayed at status 1100 for 6 weeks, then it went to 2500, then 3000... I got my TPW on the 8th week.
Things seem to be flowing through the system much quicker now...

That depends completely on your dealer's allocation and constraints. It could be as short as 2 weeks or 3 months or even more. Once a TPW is stable your car should be delivered in 3 more weeks or a little longer if it's going out west or to an area that does not get a lot of Corvette deliveries.

I placed my order in April. GM accepted it October 18. The next week had a a TPW 12-6. The next week it was moved to a TPW 12-13. It come off the line on 12-16. I took delivery on 12-22.

Orederd in November had status code of 1100 since then. Ijust cancelled my order for a MYellow Vert and waiting for a coupe, Then sending it out to become a hard top vert...

Not to piddle in your happiness of a car order but, QG7 has been on constraint quite a bit. Also Z51 will be on constraint for at least another 3 weeks due to CAFE. And you don't even want to hear how things are going with the verts.
My fingers are crossed for you brother that you have good luck with your order.
As for me there was many a time that I felt like I was trying to win the lottery or be picked for the school dance.

Everybody........Thanks for your feedback. It's only been a week since I ordered my car and the anticipation is killing me. I feel for some of you that ordered you car last fall. Hopefully, I'll have my car before the snow flies again here in Minnesota. In the meantime, I have 98-C5 to drive. (I still love that car!!)

my order was for a non-Z51 coupe w/ standard wheels; therefore, no real issues with constraints.
1/13/05 - placed order
1/24/05 - 1100 w/ no TPW
2/1/05 - 3400 w/ TPW of 2/7
2/9/05 - car rolled off production line
2/11/05 - car shipped
2/18/05 - scheduled delivery
overall, pretty darn quick turnaround.
