I commute everyday over a 24 mile bridge with a toll. Ever since I purchased the C6 and try to use my toll tag (holding it up inside the glass) it doesn't work. I've gone through 4-5 times so far and I have to give the attendent my tag to manually process instead of driving right through. She asked me yesterday "do you have one of those titanium windshields?"
Is anyone else having problems with their toll tags? I don't take the c6 everyday but the past several days have been rather nice and it's such a treat to take it for the day :P
I have an EZ-Pass here in NY and I use a suction cup mount and I have it in the upper part of the windshield in the dark tinted area behind the mirror. It works fine.
I bought the external tag and found out it works inside just a well no problem it even works from the center storage comparment along as it's unwrapped. Their was a thread about a couple of days ago on EZpass what i get no one having a problem with the internal their just holding them up if though i was told the internal pass wouldn't work!
I have a C5 but have the same issue. I have found it will work if I slow down enough, but I can't go through as fast as I could in other cars.
The other thing I found, at least here in Texas, is where I put it on the windshield matters. The readers here pick it up better if I hold it in the center of the windshield (behind the mirror).
