The RX-8 beats the C6 only in the number of seats and number of trips to the gas station. Those things get horrible fuel mileage.
Oh yeah, they also burn a lot of oil. They're as bad as a C5 with the bad rings.

Someone mentioned how fast the C6 is from 0-60. From Chevy's website, it states, 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. 1/4 mile times are around 12.8 secs. You can see for yourelf if you go to http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/ and click the Engine pic under "Corvette Spotlight"

PLEASE Get a CLUE!!! This thread is somewhat fascinating because the last gen. RX-7 was a beauty (some say that the C5 took some styling cues from it). Too bad the rotary in the RX-7 was rumored(?) to be unreliable and a huge gas hog.
The RX-8 is just NOT in the same league as the C6 unless it's a Mazdaspeed or factory performance tuned racer!
