What a Day!!!!!
Having given up on my constrained yellow Coupe I headed out to NJ from CT to finalize negotiations on an in stock vehicle. I missed an exit, messed up a turn on the way to NJ and ended up lost. Chance took me on a route I did not intend to take. I managed to get directions from a police officer, a nice lady at D.Donuts, and finally found the dealer.
Things were going well until I pulled out the title to my Infiniti G35 sports Coupe and realized it was the title to my Infinti FX 35. Late afternoon and a little over 2 hours from home all I could do now was look at that Vette that I thought I was going home in. I was ripped at myself. Then things turned really bad.
I was out in the service area going over issues with my trade in (repainted areas) when I was surrounded by a SWAT team. They frisked me (well) and told me to come to a back room with them. Apparently, I matched the description of an individual that just earlier had robbed a residence. The person had the same color sports car and a matching CT license plate with similar digits. And of course when I got off the highway for directions from that policeman I was in the area where the robbery occurred. Kinda funny now but even though one knows one is innocent facing all that energy from folks who thought they were closing a case and were not too happy as they realized they were not was pretty intimidating. And I was not going home in my car. Now, you think I would be going back to NJ tomorrow if it were not for love?

You can count on tomorrow being a better day. At least you won't need to ask for directions. Sometimes things happen for the best but at the time it makes no sense. Sounds like you have returned home with your health and tomorrow will be a "fun" day.
Best of Luck.

And most impressive...
You have the "titles" to both of your vehicles
your Infinity FX35 and your G35.
What a tough life, getting your titles mixed up.
Things could be worse.
Take a deep breath.

So I greet the owner with, "what ya got planned for me today.?" Little did he know. Ya all remember the part about getting lost? Well I am always lost. My plan was to take as many back roads as possible using the Nav and was really looking forward to that. No Nav disk with car and apparently the person that set the car up probably as much as a month ago did not think that he should tell anyone. The rest of the prep for the car and me was up to those high standards. Lots of nice things were done, but the meat and potatoes were glossed over.
I did not expect to have twinges leaving the G35 Coupe behind, but I did. The more time in the Vette, the more I realized what a fine automobile it is. I am quite fond of the HUD. The brakes are also at the top of my list. The steering wheel works for me. I love the Z51 but I can see how folks with very bad roads could lose patience with it. Bose is serviceable, I have the Eclipse speakers to switch and that is enough for a car system for me. Weather here will be an issue for detailing, I will need to get access to a heated garage. Working on a vanity plate within Connecticut's restrictions. Present ideas are SEESIX and a borrowed one XILRTN.
Its good to be an official member of the Community and I could not thank you folks and the forum sponsors enough for the imput that made it possible and enjoyable.
See yas on the roads,
