I am new to the Corvette family and often read other Forums on Sports Cars because of my overall love of the automobile, one of which is Rennteam.
Well today I am surfing along and what do I find? A new thread on the Corvette, and it's "safety limitations". These guys are basically Porsche and Ferrari lovers and take every opportunity to put our beloved Corvettes down a level or two since there aren't many people who frequent this site to give positive input.
The thread in question started as a discussion on the Limitations of the Vette, such as having to shut the engine off to open the truck, to a all out BASHING on the Corvette saftey in a crash.
Would some of you Corvette Experts be so kind as to "Clear the Air" with these "know it all's"?
sorry, but to do what you ask and help "clear the air", i'd have to give a damn what they think first. i don't.
oh, and if i have to shut off the engine to pop the hatch, nobody ever told OUR corvette...because the hatch merrily pops open with the motor purring away.

Well it's nice to see that someone more informed than I corrected them.
That's all I was after.
I don't really care what they think, but many "Lurkers" read these forums just as I do and if they get only a one sided response, you can see that that isn't good. People trying to educate themselves about various vehicles incorrectly form opinions simply because the other side was not represented, and that is not what a Forum is really about, IMO.
