Default Why All The Bashing?

I have posted 2 items in the last 2 days, and have been repeatedly bashed because members either failed to actually read and comprehend the post and/or misquoted me.

The first one was about front license plates. I said I don't have one, and will accept the ticket if I get one. I was pointed out as being a hyprocite???????????????????

The second post was about who I could beat or who could beat me. I said I don't necessarly condone street racing. Yet, the size of my manhood was in question due to someone not reading the post correctly... some thought I was crazy to street race. I never said I was a street racer. My post simply was for personal information about which cars are faster and which are slower.

I really thought this forum was a great place to converse, get info, exchange stories, etc.... but it seems that often other members are ready to rip into someone without there being true justification.

Do I need to use small words and bold fonts, or are there just some members on here that are the judge, jury and executioner all wrapped into one & should be ignored?

Otherwis some of you all have been extremely helpful, for which I thank you for.

You will allways have to interact with people who have different opinions about things, especially the ones that don't even finish reading what you have wrote till the end, rather they just like to talk smack.

This is a Public Forum, and all opinions are welcome,so i guess no body can be really wrong....?

Anyhow,to make a comment on the subject about street racing.....
A lot of people here will flame you and the first thing they would say is something like"""""Take it to the track""""!!!I guarantee you that half of the people who said take it to the track, have never even been there! Most of them have not neccessarily raced someone on a public road, but for sure they have punched it on the public roads whe they had the chance to!

Listen,if the speed limit is 35 mph and you are driving 40 mph you are allready breaking the Law,and you are speeding!
Now of course some other people do some stupid S*** where they would drive like total a***** in heavy traffic, and put their live, and someone elses in danger....i do not tolerate that! But c'mon,i wanna hear one honest forum member that hasnt flored it from time to time just to feel why he actually has purchased that 400 HP monster, rather than a YUGO(and hey no YUGO jokes,i'am from Yugoslavia )

So what i'am tryin to say is,don't take everything so personal, there is a lot of Dinosaurs here on this forum that have been proud members since day one,and who belive that sometimes flaming on Newbies is neccessary,so that they show who's boss

I've been there too, trust me,looks like if you have anything less than two stars in your profile, people don't really give you a lots of credit based on what you have to say,,,,,

So hurry up,post some more threads, earn does stars,so that we can finally start taking you seriously, till then, address me only with "SIR"!!since i have more stars then you!

Have a nice day and don't take it so personally!

So is the consensus here that it is hypocritical to street race with a front tag on the car?
Or is it that the size of one's manhood is directly proportional to the size of one's front tag bracket?
Or...or...is it that street racing with someone whose manhood is smaller than yours is hypocritical?
I was never very good with rules.

I participate on several forums. I also own and run several that are of a professional nature. These kinds of attacks are not at all unusual for any board. Unlike my boards where everyone has pretty much the same educational and economic level, this board is more diverse. All you must do is read some of these posts to know that some members have few reading and writing skills.

My second point is, just because someone says they own a C6 doesn't make it so. There are some who will never own one but would have you believe they have a stable of them.

Case in point, I am also on another car forum where a individual claimed to own a Lexus and a C5. Every other word was about "my" cars and the mods I have done. He also claimed to run a company and had a web site. After looking at him a little closer I found he was the preteen son of the vehicle owners. His mom drove the Lexus while he played with the Xbox from the back seat.

I guess what I am saying is take it all with a grain of salt.

On your post regarding which cars would be faster, you still received some good inputs despite the bashings. Take it lightly and keep posting!

There's a reason they came up with the saying, going off half cocked. You don't have to write anything bad to set someone off. On the Mercedes board I commented that my wife's new RX330 is a sweet ride, which we think it is. Totally happy with it in every respect. But it set one guy off who had to say what a white bread vehicle it is and that there's a butt for every seat.

CaptSS, sorry about some members ragging on you in your first 2 posts, this is a public forum and it takes all times.

I've personally met about 50 people from this forum and 4 have joined my corvette club. So, I would think the majority are who they say they are.

Default Yo Captn'

I have a small Johnson. That's why I bought a Vette in the first place.
Don't take the bashin' personal. Most mean it in jest. And for those who don't just return the single finger salute. That's not the finger I mean.
We all love Vettes and we're here to learn and have fun. Cowboy-Up, let your skin get thicker, and if all else fails drink heavily. You do have friends here

Don't take it personal. Here is a big for you. There really are a lot of people on this forum that are very knowledgeable about vettes and happily share that info with the rest . You just have to wade thru the BS sometimes to get to relevant info. As someone above posted, sometimes it doesn't take much to set someone off and they perch themselves on top of a soap box. And then, a feeding frenzy ensues . Enjoy the ride, in your vette and on the forum .

Scissors is a little off the wall but none the less. He has been designated the official Fun Captain of CF. As such his job is to keep it light.

You need to remember it is just an Internet Forum. You should not take anything that is written here or shown in pictures seriously at all.

People will write outrageous things just to get a rise out of you. Like real life if they see you flinch they will continue to push you just for fun.

Relax and enjoy your new Corvette.

When I see mean-spirited posts I just assume that kindness and understanding are under constraint for some people.

That's right, bangbgC6 is a troll and his avatar is a lie...he's drives a VeeDub...I know, I've seen him and his car.

Is this giving you a rise, pal???

See ya on the 20th and we'll duke it out.
