I also spent several days finding a dealer that would accept the discount. My advise also is to call dealers around GM plants. I found one close to a Delco plant and they palce an oder for me with a delivery in Ca. The whole thing took six weeks. My Vette was in the drive way for 39.5 plus tax with the 1sa and polished wheels (victory red..) In Ca the dealer are sticker plus and jerks...
I tryed the search and could not find info on this. Can someone explain how this all works. Will people give you a GMs that's good for 30 days or so. Are the discounts all the same price. I am thinking of moving from my c5 to the c6. It sounds like most are happy with the purchase. I think they have addressed most of the major problems with the car. Keep the wave!
The GM supplier discount is "1 percent under" invoice.
Got the discount on my c6.

The dealer only gets approximately $500 or so for processing the deal. Obviously if they can sell their allocation of Vettes for MSRP, they're going to make several thousand dollars rather than a few hundred. Wait 2-3 years and GMS on Vettes will become more common. They're pretty rare right now.
Rare - but for someone who is willing to shake a few hands and do the leg work they are out there. I'm working with one dealer right now (which I'll share with the forum if things go well) who is accepting my GMID.
Can I afford to just buy it at MSRP? Sure. But why?
I would probably buy a base c6 1sa (maybe with z51 package) if I could get ahold of one of these discounts. Otherwise, I imagine no dealer is going to let a c6 go for around invoice.
After doing alot of reaserch over the past few years, and having bought a couple cars, I just can't bring myself to pay sticker price ever again.
