I have been going to Jiffy Lube since 1991 and never had a problem. BUT....I always bring my own Mobil 1 filter because the filters used by Jiffy Lube leak.

The AC/Delco Ultra Guard UPF-44.

However, I use the recommended one, a regular AC/Delco PF-46.

Recommended where? My manual says PF-44 not 46, is this something they maybe changed and if so, which one has more filtration area? I bought eighteen five quart bottles of Mobile 1 at the local Wally-World for $17.00 a bottle (managers special!) but was going to pick up a case of filters tomorrow so want to make sure I get the right one. Haven't been under there to look at what's on.

I think someone mentioned on here that the pf-44 has been discontinued, replaced by the pf-46

The PF-46 has replaced the PF-44 which has been discontinued according to Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet. My C6, built in September, had the PF-44. The current build might be using the PF-46 unless they still have a supply of the PF-44 on hand.

Don't know what the change was made in the filter.

The Ultra Guard PF-44 is the superior filter if you can get them. The new replacement is the PF46.
