Per GM policy, and I am not parapharising but attempting to give the basic understanding, -any mod that reasonably affects and/or causes a problem as to a specific OEM component will void the warrantee.
So, think of it this way - putting chrome wheels on the car that causes the tire to fail is a void, but instead of the tire failing the water pump fails than there is no void.
If you place headers, cam and exhaust on the engine, and the lower end fails it WILL depend on the service manager and or GM rep to determine if those mods were the cause of the failure. Be assurred they will blame those mods

Hope this assists.
when I transform my coupe to a hardtop Vert, motor, trans, rear etc... all covered by warrantee but the top will be covered by the converter of the roof...
So far, Brite Ideas painted third brake light and CAGS elimanator. Next LLoyds floor mats including cargo mat. Eventually light forged wheels and non-run flts to reduce unsprung weight (that's way down the line) right now, prayers for the constant rain to let up. Both the vette and the plane are in the hanger. Longest cool and wet 12 months I can remember in South Texas. As they say, this too will pass.

You are the first to turn me down since I have been separated. You KNOW I don't handle rejection well.
You just wait until the judging at the CI...you will be sorry.
Performance, appearance -- what about audio system upgrades?
I suppose this counts as an appearance mod -- but the way "Fly me to the moon" was kicking on the way home tonight, my ears say it's a performance mod...

I have already done the Corsa Sport mufflers, !8" Champion Motorsport wheels w/Toyo T1-S's all around. Color matched head/fog lights from Hoen. Still looking at tinting and am going to do a screen of some sort at the front to protect the radiator. Still fluctuating between the SS screen and hole punched plate.
After that, probably wont be much else. I may do the Eclipse speakers if they are not to expensive. At this point , the disposable income took a big hit with the tire/wheel changeout. And with potential retirement just 2.5 years away, need to save some money to enjoy all the trips I hope to go on in my Vette.
The LLoyds mats are nice but I have the stock mats. Anything else that will void the engine/powertrain will have to wait till my extended warranty expires.
Oh, almost forgot, Am going to do some brake upgrades but more for looks than anything else. What do people think about red calipers on a black car? Looks like the duplicolor kit may be the way to go. Even though WCC has dropped the price on their powdercoated calipers, I think $419 is just to much money.
I promised my wife I would leave it stock for the first year.
TommyD, you screwed up on the promise. Look, go buy her a diamond tennis bracelet on QVC. You can get a 5-7kt CZ for $250-300. Tell her it’s real. Then she’ll agree for you to do anything you like. Then Long tube headers, hi-flow cats, BBs, a chip then spray that puppy NOS. A guy like you can’t keep a car stock. Against your religion man. Go Yanks!
