Default Secret interior light switch

I noticed the 'interior lights won't turn off' threads, but I'd ignored them. Yesterday, I hit the same issue, and I feel dumb. I parked in the garage and did a few chores. When I started into the house, I noticed that the interior lights were still on.

Who knew that the **** that adjusts the dash lighting also turns on the interior lights? It's not in the manual (I checked). Took me about 15 minutes to figure it out.

Does the FAQ thread include other 'hidden' features?

Sorry, check page 3-18, right side of page, under "Courtesy Lamps." It says that you can also turn the courtesy lamps on and off by pressing the instrument panel brightness ****. That is the **** you mentioned as being the dash lighting ****.

Ah you found out. Send a PM to Violet. She maintains, and is keeper and elite curator of the "Special Owner's Manual". That's the one written by Americans. The one given to you with the car was written by Chinese.

Shhh, JT dammit. You weren't supposed to tell. The whole crazy owner's manual thing is only there as a diversion. The FAQ at the top of the C6 forum was supposed to be sufficient to head off anyone smart enough to see past the manual.

Now you've went and done it.
