Just got the Borla exhaust installed on my C6 and could not be happier. I did not get the X pipe but I have to tell you the regular Borla w/out it is exactly what I was looking for. I just want to thank everybody on this forum for the assistance in making the decision. I looked long and hard at the Corsa and B&B as well. They were just a bit too loud for what I was looking for.......although, I am sure they are fantastic as well....to each their own

Thanks again everyone!!!!!!!

Congrats on the purchase, I'm sure the Borla produces a satisfying sound that adds to the already wonderful experience of driving a C6. Your comment about how loud the Borla is compared to the Corsa surprises me. I thought the Borla was louder than the Corsa but not as loud as the B&B.

I don't know what the professionals say as far as the Corsa systems go but just to my ears I thought the B&B was the loudest then the Corsa slightly louder than the Borla. Just my observatioin...not saying that I am an expert on this by any stretch. In any event I love the Borla!!!

I appreciate your enthusiam and opinion. I had been considering the Corsa or nothing (leaning toward nothing) but maybe a Borla is in my future.

Had Borla's on my C5 and they were way too loud while cruising. Have the Corsa Sports on the C6 and they are about the same as the Borlas on WOT, but are silent at cruising.

Had to go with B&B's for looks, sound, and un-paralleled backing by the manufacturer!

I just put B&B Rt. 66's on mine behind Kooks headers, hi flo cats and x pipe and the resonance at 60 -70 in 6th gear is very annoying, I am taking them off. Only had them on a day.

Question for Stewart. Do you have any drone or resonance at cruise in 6th. gear? Thanks

Your honesty is helpful and hopefully will save others from pain and wasted money.

I don't want to sound like a broken record but ...... I followed these threads for years on the C5 board. And I hate to tell you that there ain't much difference between the C5 and C6 WRT the characteristics of the motor and the cabin. I bought "Brand B" for my C5 and the resonance was horrible. And many others admitted the same thing about Brand B, the other Brand B, and most other brands, and all of the others EXCEPT Corsa. They truly do engineer their systems to be resonance free. And anyone who says they "don't have resonance, but there's just a little droning they can drive around or shift around" , or "who needs 6th gear anyway" is not being honest with themselves. They have RESONANCE. I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade. I'm kind of like the movie critic. I'm trying to save you money ahead of time. I wound up getting the Corsa Touring on my C5 and there is no resonance. I cruise for hundreds of miles at a time in 6th gear with NO resonance. My C6 will have Corsa. Before you trust another brand, verify that it is resonance free

Thanks so much for that note. I got the same runaround from B&B today. They blamed the Headers and hi flow cats and also gave the the same crap about needing to drive in a lower gear. I had talked to them twice before buying the system and they assured me each time there was absolutely no resonance. I cannot recommend anyone doing business with someone like that. I am going to try the Cora Sports. I have seen posts that they are quiet at cruise. I can't go with the touring because I already have the x pipe with cats.

That's !!! If they told you you need to drive in a lower gear, then they are essentially admitting to resonance. I hope it works out for you

Stuart20, I apologize. I got carried away because this was such a painful issue for me w/ my C5. This is your thread and hopefully your Borla's are resonance free. And I too was surprised to hear (pun intended) someone refer to Corsas being louder than Borlas.

On a more positive note, "Brand B" actually stood behind their product and authorized the vendor who sold me mine to refund my money. Maybe they've changed.

B&B has excellent customer service, and I loved mine. I don't agree with them telling you to drive in a lower gear, but I can believe that headers and high flow cats will make a big difference.

Ya'll also have to remember that there were three different B&B systems for C5's, and two different systems for C6's. Also, there are two different Borla systems for C6's, and two Corsas. Some of these posts are not differentiating which you are referrering to.

Also, tolerance for sound is very subjective. I loved the Bullets on my C5 convertible, but I drove it about 80% of the time with the top down, so the wind noise overcame any potential drone. That's why I will probably not get them for my coupe. But I would like to hear the Route 66 system.

As for Corsas, I rode in a C6 the other day with Corsa Sports and they were way too quiet for me. Different strokes for different folks.

Jim, I remember all 3 B&B models (Sport, Route 66, PRT) for the C5 having resonance and neither of the 2 Corsa models (Indy Pace, and Touring) having resonance. I owned the PRT's and now the Corsa Touring and can personally vouch for those. The others I read about from other members. B&B did provide good service and in my case stood behind their product, but I just don't like resonance.

Don't know anything about the Borlas, but I have the Corsa Tours on my C6 and they sound great! The tone is lower in pitch than the Sports and silent at cruising speed.

No need to apoogize. I heard them all and to my ears I like the Borlas the best. I hear a small amount of resonance (I am not the most mechanically inclined) if that faint drone is what you are talking about. The one thing I didn't want was the popping sound that the BB's had. To my ears the Corsas were slightly louder. Just my ears...I'm not saying it is fact. I compare it to stero sound and TV viewing...not everybody's eyes and ears are the same. Just my $.02
