I Know Currently There Is A Hold On Any Gms Discounts On Verts For 2005 Any One Heard When That Will Be Lifted So I Can Buy A 2006 Vert With Gms Pricing?
As we move into Spring/Summer....I can't imagine gm passing on any vert discounts. If you are waiting for that to make your decision as to when to order your 06, it may end up being fall/winter before you see much activity...also they have delayed 06 production, based on later then expected release of 05 verts, which could impact discounts as well. Just my personal view.

I do not believe there is any "restriction" on supplier pricing except from individual dealerships looking to get as close to MSRP as they can - as these cars are built more and more, dealers will offer the pricing more readily...
From: Muncie, Indiana ...... Can I buy an amplifier on time ... I ani't got no money now but I'll pay you before I die

Since they are extending the 05 model build into September tot catch up on the back log of convertibles. I would guess it would be at least sometime after that.

GM EMPLOYEE pricing (AND Supplier pricing for those who may be interested even though nobody asked ) - the answer is the same as what I said above - find a dealer close to Detroit - Ohio, or the tri-state area and odds are fair someone will sell you one - Winter doesn't end in that area for a few more months -
I could have bought a Ford GT at "Employee Pricing" long distance, even though the dealer 2 miles away from me said no way
The dealers still "get paid" one way or another, GM, Ford, even Chrysler

In that case you wloud be wrong because that this time GM is not allowing GMS on convertibles. Even if you can find a dealer that would do it.

Dealer will not be paid the 2% for GM supplier pariticipation
Doubt a dealer will sell you a car for less than cost without the GM supplier 2% on tissue that they are paid (which is over and above holdback). My dealer confirmed no GM supplier on convertibles...for now.
I spoke with owner and sales manager I have known for years said no GM Employee, GMS or GMID until GM says ok probably not until 2006 model converts I will wait.
I spoke with owner and sales manager of local dealership said no GM Employee, GMID or GMS until 2006 on converts or until GM says ok. I will wait nothing is forever.

Thank you for checking on this - I still do find it hard to believe GM would be like that when they enjoy the fact so many employees buy their cars in that area especially
Well, after hearing about the paddle shifters for the 6 spd auto I may wait anyways... My wife is a bit tired of me bringing home stick shift cars she cannot drive

That is only for your dealership. Officially from GM. GMS is not available on the Vert. GM Supplier program is available if you can find a dealer to do it

If GM extends production of 2005 verts into September, doesn't that just lower the production number for 2006 models? (Assuming the plant will be running a full capacity by September.) It must be to ensure all orders in 2005 are met. 2006 sales are not as certain.
