Default C6 Headlight Washers???

When I downloaded the C6 episode of TopGear and I noticed;

1) There were two little nubs under the headlight assemblies that looked like washer jet doors.

2) They have a 3rd turn signal light just before the vent in the fender

So does anybody know?..

In Europe is the Corvette available with headlight washers?

If it is, can I get them here somehow?

God forbid that I get a new C6, take it out in the rain and snow, or drive it on roads where the front of the car would get dirty enough to need it. However (that being said), a friend of mine has a C320 that has a headlight washers system on it and it makes an amazing difference if the front lights do get dirty and you're driving at night.

I think it is Euro Spec and is definitely not available here. I saw a picture with the same things showing.

Adding the washers would make a nice do-it-yourself project. It's got to be easier than adding Navigation.

Don't forget to post pics.

Default More questions...

Would anybody state side know anything about the system and it’s interconnections or part numbers. Where would the switch be located on the inside of the car?

I would think it is connected to the windshied washing switch/system. I have 3 cars with headlight washing and they all activate that way.

As others have posted, it's an ECE requirement. Any vehicle with HID lights needs self-levelers and some form of lens cleaner, to prevent glare.

The Euro have the washers as STANDARD. I guess GM must think no one in the US cares or is sophisticated enough to use them here so they just leave them off and make more profit. I really dont understand this because GM was saying all along how they wanted the Euro spec models and the US model to be more alike. I cant see why we dont have the washers or the fender blinker repeter here in the US as well. I would think if they all got the same parts it would be cheaper for them in the long run not having to have some fenders with holes for the additional parts ans some not, But thats GM. I also think GM feels that Corvettes in the US rarley see the light of day let alone rain and the washers are maybe a waste of time here but I would still like to have them.
