Default Still Grinning

Well Kevin called last Friday and told me he had my vin. number. We scheduled my visit for today at 11:00am. Checked my voice mail at 7:00am and was told to get to the plant by 9:30am to spend more time with by new baby. Arrived at 9:30am, saw a safety video and we went into the plant. There she was, no wheels or front end. Followed it for almost 2 1/2 hours and holy smoke, drove it off the line at 12:05pm. God, I drove the car 20 feet at two miles per hour and fell in love! This has been a long wait, October 23, 2004 but it's almost over: DSOM Vert / Cashmere / Black Power Top / Z51 / 1SB / NAV / OnStar / Polished Wheels. I see if you take delivery by 03/31 there is a $1,000.00 rebate. Boy, the Miler Lites are flowing, I can hardly drink with the grin on my face.
AL
P.S. Once I get the car home, Zano it and put on a few mods that are sitting in my garage I'll enclose photos

Congratulations!

As for the rebate you might want to read this.

I can only imagine how neat that is. Like being there for the birth of a baby, without the midnight feedings afterwards.

I'm not sure about midnight feedings but I'm sure that 18 gallon stomach of her's will frequently get hungry?
P.S. Thanks for the Congrats and Info everyone! I believe you are right about the rebate, you are not the first to state that.

While at the plant I was speaking with the vert top installer (lineperson). He told me if the top stops in mid cycle don't get out and manually try to force it. Sometimes the computer get screwed up for one reason or another so simply disconnect the battery, wait a few minutes and reconnect. He told me that should allow the computer to recycle and the top should work fine?
