How many people have ordered the 1SA package? Would it be better for resale to order a 1SB? If you have a 1SA are you happy with it or do you wish you had ordered a 1SB?
I ordered and received the 1SA too. The only thing I like the HUD. There are any news about equiping the C6 1SB with the HUD.
I know the other posts but there are no solutions.
1SA, save your money, $3500 for what, get the NAV instead and most of all don't get stuck with the black bubble on the roof (XM) or onstar and their monthly charges
I ordered the 1SB option package because it contained many of the options that I wanted, and some I didn't. However, because Chevy no longer permits "cherry picking" the option list as it did when I ordered my '98 C5, I had to take the 1SB.
FWIW. . .

Its all a matter of personal choice. I took a 1SA non Z51 and 1SB Z51 for a road test. I played with all the toys and really gave Dave a good ride. I purchased the 1SA package. I would have liked the heated seats but did not think it was worth the extra dollars. If you like the extra toys get the 1SB.

Actually the diff in price between 1SB and 1SA is $4360 - $1405 = $2955. Not a trival sum but well under $3500
The extra gadgets of the 1SB are nice....but the only toy I need in the Vette is the gas pedal. Seems to keep you busy. Lots of people rag on the stereo but it is one of the best sounding stock systems I've heard and I'm picky....It was nice paying mid 40's when most are over $50K. But, if you don't get the M6, make sure you get the perf. axle. That's an option you need.
To my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong, the only way to get the side airbags is to get the 1SB, correct? I think that this alone may be worth the extra $3k or whatever. After all, you life is worth at least $3k. After seeing some pics of assorted car accidents, you realize how incredibly vulnerable you are in a Vette (a plastic car that sits way low to the ground.) Every little bit counts. If you get t-boned hard in such a low car, I'd think you'd pretty much be finished... but the side airbags may be the extra thing that makes the difference between life and death, etc. Until just yesterday, I was dead set on going 1SA, but now I am thinking 1SB for this reason. Oh yeah, the telescoping steering wheel is a very important thing too... also a 1SB-only option. They obviously figured things out so that you kinda "need" to get the 1SB, especially since you cannot "cheery pick" options as another poster mentioned. As for heated seats, HUD, fancy radio etc, I could totally live without all that stuff... but then again, I guess it would be cool to have it.
Whoops.... disregard my last post here... I believe I am WRONG. The side airbags come with 1SA also.
Hmmm..... now thinking that 1SA may be the way to go! The only thing in the 1SB that I'd want is the telescoping steering wheel. But is it worth $3k? I guess one's comfort in the car IS extremely important, why spend $50k for a car if you're going to be uncomfortable in it. So the $3k may indeed be worth it here. I guess it all depends on how long your arms and legs are.
My wife's Highlander... car is fine, but the ONE thing I HATE about it is that the steering wheel is too far away from me once I adjust the seat all the way back where I like it (long legs). Seems that the car is designed for short people. It's amazing how something seemingly minor can really wreck one's driving experience. This has taught me that a telescoping wheel can be a very valuable thing, especially if you plan on keepng the car for a while.

I am 100% into high end stereo and for a stock system, insert a clean CD track and sit back and watch the passenger smile

Well, my understanding of it is that you do get the side airbags with the 1SA. That is how I am ordering. If it did'nt come with it, I would opt for the 1SB. As far as all the other opts with the 1SB, I really do not need all those bells and whistles. When I turn my 2002 coupe in, which does have the HUD, that might be the only thing I'll miss!
I have the 1SB and I bought it primarily because of the heated seats. If I could have ordered the heated seats as a free standing option, I would have bought the 1SA. It has been my exprience that for resale to a private party, the more options the better.
Personal choice. Here was my way of looking at it. Got 1Sb for memory, heated seats (very good for extending the top off season) and a number of other features mentioned above. Point is; I recouped some money by avoiding NAV, XM, and Onstar, all of which I don't need in a sports car. (BTW Nav turns a 6 CD changer into single CD unless you buy an external changer). I also prefer less bling on the wheels so toning them down to standard was like another 1000 or so not spent.
