OK, my first fuel up and I must have been doing something wrong. I could only pump sloooowly. Every angle I tried the pump, it would shut down, even at a snails pace. What's the trick for this car? I had folks with 45 gallon Suburbans fillin up quicker.

I get the same thing at every pump. It seems that it's not an isolated problem.
Yea same here. No chance of topping off here as I can never tell if its really full or just shutting off on me so I err on the safe side... wondering if its only a prob with pumps that have vapor return system
This was an issue with the C5 as well. GM even came out with a fix that required replacing the internal fuel nozzle with one that wasn't so angled. I guess this fix wasn't passed along to the C6's.
Why do you guys still want to top off your tank???
It says in large letters, either on the dispenser or nozzle..."DON'T TOP OFF!!!"
There's a reason for that...fuel splashing back on you or getting in your eyes, fueling with a smoke in your mouth...the list goes on and on.
It's like the guy I encountered last week fueling his car while it was running. When I told him of the dangers, he said they do it in Europe all the time, but he did shut the car off.
Hum I wasnt refering to topping off by constantly clicking on handle until it overflows.. what I meant was that once its close to full IN ORDER to avoid the issues you brought up I stop pumping gas which means I may be 1 or 2 gallons from really being full since I dont know if it stopped because its really full or just cus it tripped - sorry if I wasnt clear

Just filled up with my fourth tank of Chevron, set it to shut off automatically, haven't had a problem yet. Don't TOP OFF per all of the previous posts on this forum--The gas was high though!!--e
I'm not talking about "Topping Off", just pumping fuel. I started with about 1/8 of a tank and even at the start she didn't want to pump. I'll try a different station / pump next time to see if it's any better. Man this is like my old C-5 all over again. SmyrknMyrkn
Have had the same thing happen a few times also clicks too soon
I can usually get one more gallon after the pump if it accurately clicks where it is suppose to.
Once I got in 3 more gallons
On another car I can get a gallon in and the gas shoots out like blood from an artery once it is full you can see the gas at the top of the filler and it spills out all over the place onto the ground. My gauge doesn't go down as fast besides I hate going to gas stations and people are always telling you that you are leaking gas like I don't know...
Never had this problem with my C5 or my C6. Put the noozle in set it to automatic and fills up quickly everytime. I never let it get below 1/2 full and ALWAYS use Sunoco 94 Ultra.

I've found that if I insert the nozzle all the way in, and angle it "upward", the fuel goes in without problems. I NEVER try and top it off. Too much danger of getting fuel on the paint...
