I see a need for one. I find the buffeting quite significant at speed, but if it doesn't work, then clearly it's a waste of money. However, I've yet to see a good review of its effectiveness one way or the other.
Hmmmm... I wonder what affect a product like this would have on a coupe (with top off). I've heard coupe owners say how the wind gets caught in the back, causing general turbulance in the car and causing their cargo to go flying about, etc. I wonder if blocking off the opening between the front section of the car and the rear hatch area would make for a significant improvement in overall wind buffeting to the occupants... might reduce noise as well. Or might make things worse??? Just thoughts. Even if you didn't want to strap a sheet of plexiglass to your headrests (like the wind baffle product), maybe some other type of baffle could be fabricated to block the opening, a nice custom piece that would fit nice and seal the opening well. ???
I had the cloth version for my '04 and '00 and it made a night and day difference. You could read the paper (the passenger) while driving 75-80 mph. I plan and getting the factory wire mesh one for my '05.
I had one on a BMW M Roadster and it was a waste. Consequently, I'm reluctant to go in that direction again. Besides, I don't see it as a real problem at any speed with my C6. Clearly, others feel differently or no one would make them.
