Like Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder I can drive the heck out of my car but as a mechanic I am an idiot - there were a few post related to the installation of CAGS - 2 questions 1) can/would a dealer install it for you 2) does the installation void the warranty 3) does the installation "do anything" to the computer or mechanics of the car besides letting the driver choose the gears he/she wants to use? Thanks forum members!
I had my car 1 week thinking I could "live" with the CAGS. It drove me crazy! Mainly pulling into traffic from a side street. It kept going into 4th and then no excelleration. I am not mechanicly inclined either. I did however install my own CAGS elliminator. It was very easy. There is a step by step instruction in the FAQ thread with pictures. If I can do it anybody can!

My dealer installed mine during the delivery inspection. They think the 1st to 4th thing is just as stupid as I do...
From: Austin, Texas Codes 660, 9448, and 295660 work in the C6 navigation unit. No DVD playback yet.
The CAGS elminator should not cause any warranty problems. Period.
If you ever saw how easy it is, it almost seems as though GM expects you to make this modification. The hardest part is jacking up the car. Then you just have to find the CAGS plug, which is conviently labeled for you, unplug it, plug in the replacement and zip-tie the old connected out of the way. There's even a hole on the side of the transmission that looks like it was specifically placed to give you something to zip-tie the connector to.
Once you get the car in the air, it's about two minutes to install or uninstall. Personally, as easy as it is, I'll just uninstall it when I need to have warranty work done.
When I installed my CAGS eliminator, I had to laugh when I saw that GM actually had a tag labling the wire you are supposed to hook the eliminator to. It was pretty obvious to me that they are expecting a very high percent of their customers to make this mod and are trying to make it as easy as possible for those nervous about being mechanical.
I didn't plan to do anything other than keep the C6 clean and stock but the CAGS drove my crazy! It took me a while to figure out how to jack the car up, but only two seconds to follow instructions on placing the eliminator. 20$ well spent. Go For It! (The forum messages would indictate that a lot of guys, and gals, installed it by simply driving up on the curb and not worrying about the jack.)
Does the CAGS Installation void the warranty on the car
The thing people seem to forget is the fact that in order to void your warranty, the dealer has to prove the mod caused the problem. The only thing that taking the CAGS out would do is hurt your gas mileage, and lower your blood pressure.

I am sorry but as someone who has been through a warranty denial I can tell you that the dealer need do nothing more than say the words to deny your warranty. From there your guilty till you prove your innocent. You can spout the Moss Mag act all day long, means nothing till you get to court. I would not worry about the cags eliminator as being a potential source of a denial and I have one on mine but the information in your post is flat wrong. Your dealer can deny your warranty for any reason or none at all and you have no recourse but to eat the cost or fight the denial. If you chose to fight then you will be parked or out of pocket till the process is complete. If your in the right you will only then be reimbursed some or all of the cost of the repair, possibly some of your costs in lawyers etc. I had several options that I could pursue here in WA and I what yours may be vaires by state. I did my cags by pulling the drivers side wheels up on the curb and then I threw a blanket down on the ground and crawled under. There is just enough room to slide under and get er on.
Come on, your dealer can do anything it wants as anyone with power knows. If you are willing to address your rights legally and public the information they fall in line rather quickly as the pressure mounts. Question is do you have the persistence to hold them accountable. This scenario has virtually no chance to occur over a CAGS installation.
