I'd look the paint job on the exterior over carefully for any kind of blemishes. Same for the inside. If possible, see if most of the extras work, radio, Nav if you have it, CD, seats, tilt steering wheel, mirror movement, hatch release, fuel filler door, hood release.
When you shut off the car make sure you set the parking brake along with shifting into reverse!
I have set mine up to exit assist (where the seat travels back and the steering wheel retracts) when I exit the car. This is my indication that the transmission is in reverse and the parking break is on. If the seat and steering wheel do not move to the easy exit positions I know I have not set something correctly.
I'll be picking mine up (hopefully) in a couple of weeks. I've seen a couple of you say that the parking brake has to be on. Is it necessary to use the parking brake at shutdown (MN6) ? For years I have almost never used the 'E Brake', just left it in gear.
Set the DIC for your personal message; READ the manual carefully...full of info beyond 'fasten you saftey belts'; set memory seat function; hide fobs except the one you need Order Lloyd front and rear mats; enjoy the hell out of the car

Yes! Know it is strange to do (I like you never used the e brake) but it is a must for the C6 due to electronics

and check the paint both out in the sun and inside the shop.
black reveals all, just need to have the right light source.

Believe or not this is , in my opinion, the single best tip for those who have any electrical snafo's. Carry a 10mm wench in your car-it will allow you to disconnect the negative ground from the battery to reset the system in the case of an extreme electrical snafo
"When parking MN6 to put it in reverse any other advice on commonly overlooked thing"
What is MN6? Why in reverse? Sorry for the stupid question, I pick up my C6 Sunday!
MN6 is the 6 speed manual trannie. Parking into reverse allows the complete computer system(sans FOB sensor) to shut down. If you don't go into reverse(Park for Auto) the computer system only shuts down in part, leaving several systems operating at full power which will drain a battery to the point the computer system will not allow the car to attempt a start. This point appears to be 12.2 volts.
Congrats for the new VetVert, it is one hell of a ride!

NO just reverse....I also don't use the E-Brake much either but maybe that is why my exit mode doesn't seem to work I just set up the other memory button (2) for the exit mode I wanted and it works fine....no E Brake

I'm confused. (I know that's not unusual.) Why not just use the e-brake so the car will work like it is designed? Seems like that's better than giving up a second seating position and automatic movement of the seat when you open the door. Anyway, it's your car, do as you wish.
