I went to a local dealer of Corvettes, a big dealer. No prices on ANY of the models. Talking to the sales guy, much more willing to deal on price. Also had a slew of C-5's in inventory, and was selling a bunch of them.
With the early demand now satiated, withe Z06's and convertibles coming out, with GM in financial straits, anybody thinking we might see some really good deals down the line on the Corvettes? I'd love to see the prices on the 2005 C-6's if demand for the 2006 and 2007 models doesn't meet production supply.

We've already seen some great deals on the 05 coupe. Since the first of the year Dealers have been dropping their pasnts to the tune of up to $5000.00 on occaision. Now that the summer is coming it will be interesting to see whether the prices stablize, or continue to be discounted down. The Corvette is GM's most profitable car.

Yup...met an auto analyst from Wall Street and he said that while ALL the dealers guard their profit figures on their lucrative autos, it's usually $5K - $10K on most of them. He said he thought the Corvette figure was closer to $10K, assuming NORMAL incentives and no promotions. Since we're not in that now, I would guess closer to $5-$7K.
