Default Elapsed Timer

I've been playing with the elapsed timer that's a part of the "trip" section. Everything works as advertised until I hold down the reset button to zero out the time.

When I hold the reset button for the three seconds as indicated in the owners manual it resets the timer and then resets either the oil life, trip a, or trip b settings as well. Very odd.

Anyone else expirencing the same thing, or have any thoughts on the matter?

Other than the elapsed time, this car rocks!

Owner's manual on page 3-52 says that pressing and holding the RESET button for at least 10 seconds will reset the timer display to the time since the last ignition cycle. Doesn't say anything about all the things yours supposedly reset.

I haven't been holding the rest button that long. I've only been holding the button for three seconds.

It randomly rests oil percentage, trip a or trip b.

Hmmmmm.

According to the book, 3 seconds should only reset the timer to 0.0.

Yes! Same thing happened to me. Oil life was reset even though it was NOT being displayed in the DIC at the time I was pressing the reset button.

At least know I know it's not me.

I wonder if anyone will find a fix for this. I'd like to think it's pilot error, but I've been following the owners manual instructions to the letter.
