Default Stupid Car!

Ok, I have to vent now. This wonderful car I have had the pleasure to own for a month yesterday is stupid! Must have an IQ of 20. It's brain is quite retarded.

1. Fuel gauge dies
2. DIC says "service fuel system"
3. DIC says "check fuel cap"
4. Check engine light glows
5. Horn honks three times when there is no FOB in the car
6. Fuel door does not latch
7. Rear hatch pull down does not "pull down",

All these are happening sporadically. All electronic. All "brain" oriented.

A retarded, stupid car. GM used to have the best computers ever invented for an automobile. Doubts aplenty about that.

The topic is not meant to be a pun... but I guess it is.

Default I just had the Service Fuel System thing happen to me..

I was just about to search the threads for the Service Fuel System in th DIC when I found your post.

I filled up my car today and got that message in my DIC and the fuel gauge wouldn't go above empty. I restarted the car several time and then it started and a mid full level and then went up about 1/10 of a tank every 10 seconds or so until full. Now, it appears to be fine.

I was wondering if the tank was just really full and threw off the gauge.

Anyone?

There is a warning somewhere in the literature about not overfilling. I took it to be lawyer speak to prevent claims when someone overfills by about a gallon while smoking. Perhaps there is more to it Im thinking based on the information some have posted about the wacky gas gauge?

I most certainly will not keep my C6 out of warranty. Until then, I'll have GM rebuild the car one piece at a time

Mines doing the same as yours! I'm going to wait for the fix that should be coming out this month or next month.

Some say use top tier gas. I only put Chevron top octane in it. It still does it. It comes and goes. Very annouying! Chevy knows of the problem and is coming out with a fix. If I take it in before the fix, they will just replace it with more defective parts. So I will wait a few months til they get it fixed.
