Engine Light
Hey everybody,
Just had my first glitch happen. My check engine light came on. I killed the engine and restarted it,... still on. The car has 3,765 miles on it, and as far as I can tell, it runs perfectly, no problems whatsoever... but the light is still on.
I do have Corsa Tours and a Vortex ram induction intake system installed. They were both installed about a month ago...
Has anyone had this happen, and if so what did you do about it?
The very idea of taking my baby into Chevrolet service sends cold chills up my back...
I have heard tale of the Vortex Ram triggering the sensor in the air induction system . This could trigger the engine light which reflects a problem with the clean air systems usually .
would like to know what the problem is when found out??? im going to have the same mod's done on my c6 so it would be helpfull. i hadf a very similar problem when i put a banks tuner system on my dodge 600 turbo d. the engine light came on 2 times for the 1st 2,000 to 3,000 miles and i had to have it reset but that problem has not happened for at leat 7,000 miles and the dealer said there were no problems so i would say its the sensors as well..
Yes, had the same problem pretty recently. Try playing around with the gas cap. It disappeared for me after a while (couple of engine starts). It's disconcerting that I don't really know why. The check engine light sometimes follows a "Check Fuel System" warning message.
