with regard to the interior kit for the mag red...has anyone thought about buying the victory red and having the body shop paint it? What do you think it would be like? Also, is the victory red interior kit too bright...would it stick out like a sore thumb inside a mag red or do we just wait and keep our fingers crossed, or wait for the monterey red to come out? Looks like the yellow guys are in the same boat.

I may be wrong, but I think the count was for Verts since they discontinued the color so close to the Verts production date.
Of course it would be nice to know how many Mag red coupes and verts were made too, but there should be a reletively small amount of verts and everyone wants that magical # so they can brag to thier friends, IE I have 1 in only 500 mag red verts made!!

Mag Red
I made it down to Atlanta last weekend for the ALMS race and Corvette Corral. During this fantastic weekend of racing and events David Hill showed up to give all the Corvette owners a run down on the Z06 and it's body off version (frame, engine and wheels). Afterwards he took questions from the group and since I own a MR C6 Coupe I asked him why GM was cancelling the Mag Red color for Monterray Red. He says that from time to time Chevrolet will review the colors offered and make changes. The new color has a different metal in it that is supposed to make it shine more (more metallic flakes and made of a different metal). I was expecting him to say something like it was too expensive. It really sounded like a corporate response but there it is. I really like my MR with cashmere interior so now I can take heart in knowing there are a limited number of MR Coupes out there as sharp as mine.
