Dealership called and said my car is being built week of May 9th. My question is, how do you find out which day, and is there a way to actually see your car being built. I would like to take my 7 year old son to see that. Thanks in advance.....
Kevin at the factory tries to help people out with watching your car being built tours. There are plenty of threads about this and his phone number and email. He does 2 a day (1 am and 1 pm) and if you are the first to request for an available time... He goes off of order number and calculates when it will be on the line. I don't know if they allow a 7 year old as part of this. He would have the answers! I did it and it was great. How much you get to see depends upon where it is on the line. He does the best to schedule you too see a lot and be there when it is done but they can never tell, in advance, exactly where a car will be since it depends upon stoppages and how long they work every day. I was supposed to start the tour at 10:00 am and he called me the day before and said I had to be there at 6:00 am. By 10, my car was done.

E-mail Kevin Tarrance at the plant at ezra.tarrence@gm.com and he can tell you when your car will be coming off line and then you can schedule your visit with him. He only takes two people per day so try to schedule early. By the time I had contacted Kevin he already had two people scheduled so I could not go down there to see the car come off the line. Good luck and congrats.
Even cars going to museum delivery go to Allied trucking where they are trucked to the museum.
There should be a way to combine seeing the car built and delivery (museum or otherwise) in the same trip but there isn't.

Try to do it it is well worth the trip. I just got home to Oregon from having Kevins tour. I was the first to start and drive the car. I would do it again, now I have to wait till the 5th of May to go back for museum delivery.
