Default Outrageous Pricing

Would you believe there is a dealer in Colorado (Luby Chevrolet) asking $71,988 for a C6 coupe?! I thought pricing in California was bad. And get this - it's used with 700 miles too.

Default Another Chevy Dealership Blunder

It states that this car has
700 miles on it. It is used
to me. Another chevy dealership
blunder. Instead of GM putting
emblems on cars, I wish that
they (GM) would step up to
the plate and hold these dealerships
feet to the fire. Hold these
dealerships to a higher standard.

Thanks for listening . . . .

At this stage of the game, it's absolutely laughable... People are buying them for 2,500 off MSRP routinely...

Thing is, a lot of people don't know any better and get suckered....

As large as our forum is, I think it is still the minority of corvette buyers...

Here is one way to look at it:

Loaded C6 Coupe 56,000.00
Aftermarket wheels 12,999.00 (6000.00 if you buy on your own)
Aftermarket brakes 1500.00 (500.00 if you buy 0n your own)
Extended warranty or other dealer BS 2000.00
Could still be MSO and sold as new.

And now to my point.

If someone comes in and wants to buy the 'Vette .. but are upsidedown in their car (as most are) then the dealers lender will look at the FULL (dealers) price of the 'Vette and base the deal on that.

Example: you have 50m mile 2002 C5 that black books at 20,000 loan value, but you owe 30,000, so you're 10,000 wrong. Well they have packed more than 10,000 in the C6, so there are some options/room to work the deal! But you will still get the big screw buying the aftermarket stuff from a new car dealership. IMHO

You know .. A fool and his money........

That's why it pays to shop around. I bought my car right across the river from Evansville, at Henderson Chevrolet, and got $4,500 off MSRP back in October. Most dealers know their local market, and what it will bear.

Yeah, you're right - it's one mean machine. The dealer should really post all of the relevant info on their website. As it stands it looks like a normal C6.
