Nah, I started on mine just to get more power for pulling my bass boat/camper combo over the hills. Then like adding power to anything else it got to be a bit of an obsession. I have pretty much stopped though since I cant add any more power and still tow. I dont drive around looking to race anybody in it because I dont do that in any car. I just thought that some of you might want to be aware that some of these guys can really go fast. Some of them can beat you (on a race track of course) so the comment about half decent sport car (as in no challenge) might not really be the right way to phrase it.

Point well taken... the Lighting is a good example... and I dont think most of us took your post about beefin up your truck being due to wanting to race it... BUT I will have to respectfully disagree on a truck with only power mods beating my C6 on the track... the drag strip ok that Ill give ya but a street track or even an oval track and Ive yet to find a truck that can handle like the C6 without some severe mods

Whats scary is seeing those 3 ton beasts tailgating others - the braking and handling is just not there - that much power in the hands of fools is scary to see in a C6... on a truck it is just plain horror

No, no. I took it that we were talking about a straight line run because of the talk about getting next to them and reving their engines and such. My truck corners well only when compared to a UPS truck. Make no mistake the vette is far more capable on the road. The truck is not in the same ballpark. It cant even see the ballpark from where it is. Thats why I was talking about these guys looking for a certain setup. They only have a small window where their extra power can overcome their extra weight in the stoplight wars and they will seek this matchup.
