Oil Consumption

What is normal oil Consumption for a C6, Z51 mn6. I had to add 3/4 Qt
at 1400 miles and 1 qt at 3400?

I am not sure if there is a normal amount. I was hoping consumption was a thing of the past but my low oil light just came on today.

I would assume it would have something to do with your driving habits. Mine hasn't gone down at almost 2000 miles so far.

I was told by my Vette tech that some oil consumption is normal. no more than a quart every 3,000 miles.

If you are going through more than that I would get your dealer to take a look at the car.

No oil consumption problem here!

Changed my oil/filter last fall at 1k miles. In storage at 1350 miles in December, 04. Out of storage last month, with normal driving for 500 miles until last Wed, 4/20. On the road for the next 1971 miles to and from the the C5/C6 Bash, total now 3821 miles. Checked oil when I got home. Absolutely no consumption. Time to change it again for a warm fuzzy!

Yes, Mn6 Z51.

9,100 miles the first 1,500 used about 1/2 qt but none since then.

1400 miles and has not left the full mark. will change the filter at 2000 miles and then change the oil at 4000 miles. my DIC says i still have 90% oil life left because most of my miles have been trips
